The votes on our My Lolz pages do not count toward homepage voting. They are for "fun"...so if the lol doesn't appeal to a person, why give a one-burger...just don't vote! Regarding the voting process for homepage, this is a quote: "With voting, the lolz do go through the 170 votes and then it gets moved out, and the reason for that certain number is so that every lol gets a fair chance." The good news is that they are working on a way to show us how our lols did on the voting round....

It's kinda pathetic, really...as far as I know it won't keep the lol off the voting page...it just makes you feel crappy when you see it. I know I've made some that were either kind of lame, trite, or an in-joke between friends (the latter of which I usually don't submit for voting anyway) and I don't expect every single one I make to please everyone, but it's very rude and not at all in keeping with the general "happy place" aura of ICHC. And your lols are ossum btw...don't let it get you down (consider the source: some bored teen who thinks they're the arbiter of what's "kewl") :P

I was like you...kept seeing the reference and didn't understand, so I asked Tofu...the five burgers you see above the lol show voting progress. You are giving just one vote--that is all you can give. But if you click the first burger, then that is the only one that lights up. And it takes longer to get the burgers all lit up. If you are the first person to vote and you click on the fifth burger, then it lights up all five burgers with just your one vote. It is mostly a matter of principle. The voting on our individual pages is just for fun--the votes do not count toward homepage votes. So why give someone a low vote--just don't vote at all...hope this helps

**eavesdroppin', sawwy** Many people (including myself) have had one-burger votes put on their recent LOLz, and since the "burgering" process is anonymous, it seems to me to be a form of trolling, not to mention mean-spirited. It has to stop. :/
